Classic Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

Mary Berry’s banana bread

3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
Stir in the melted butter and mix well.
Add the baking soda and salt, and mix until well combined.
Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour and mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Double Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Follow the same instructions as the Classic Banana Bread Recipe, but add the cocoa powder and chocolate chips to the batter before pouring it into the loaf pan.
