Classic Vegan Refried Beans

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked pinto beans
1/2 cup vegetable broth
1/2 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

Heat a pan over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
Add the cooked pinto beans and vegetable broth to the pan. Mash the beans with a potato masher until desired consistency is achieved.
Stir in cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and serve hot with your favorite toppings like avocado, salsa, and vegan cheese.

Spicy Chipotle Vegan Refried Beans

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked black beans
1/2 cup salsa
1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
Salt to taste

Steps:
