Ingredients:

10 organic lemons
1 liter of high-quality vodka
2 cups of sugar
3 cups of water

Steps:

Wash the lemons thoroughly and peel the zest off using a vegetable peeler, making sure to avoid the bitter white pith.
Place the lemon zest in a large glass jar and pour the vodka over it. Seal the jar tightly and let it sit in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks, combine the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved to create a simple syrup.
Let the simple syrup cool completely before adding it to the infused vodka. Stir well to combine.
Strain the limoncello through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the lemon zest.
Transfer the limoncello to a clean glass bottle and store it in the freezer for at least 4 hours before serving.

Limoncello Martini

Ingredients:

2 oz of limoncello
1 oz of vodka
1/2 oz of fresh lemon juice
Ice
Lemon twist for garnish

Steps:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the limoncello, vodka, and lemon juice.
Shake well until the mixture is chilled.
Strain the cocktail into a martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
